spoke to owner of plot 22 re his request to do inspection work on his completed house said we could not do this as conflict of interest and surghested he contact general practice surveyor as items relate to quality of the product and not building conytrol related

He accusedme of being in cahoots with the buuilderf to produce sub standard houses informed him that i hasd been very copertaive in his previius requested but could no longer continue thew conversation under such accusations

Hi Morris

As discussed earlier I attach previous correspondence in relation to plot 3. For the avoidance of doubt, I can confirm that the spec has been checked several times and it has been agreed that it is fine. As you can see these correspondence are 1 year old so I can see little value in constantly going over old ground.

We have also discussed it with James Bourke approved inspectors previously, who have also confirmed that we have built the houses according to the spec ( James has been copied in for the avoidance of doubt ).

Today we have carried out most our agreed remediation works as per your letter.

Removed floor coverings
Removed caber deck from the kitchen area
Inspected insulation below floor ( no issues found )
Re-laid new caber deck flooring (additional d4 adhesive added to increase stiffness )
Re-joined caber deck under plinth.

The new floor coverings should be relayed this week.

Obviously this couple can be difficult and they will continually push so I think it’s important, that as we have now done what has been agreed, you formally write to them confirming this. If not they will constantly keep asking the same questions and request

Given we have been through this several times I am conscious that we present a united front on this and put a line in the sand. They can obviously take their own advice from there but I am confident that we have all behaved professionally and also completed the small number of legitimate repairs required.
