Under the circumstances it is probably more appropriate to apply to the Local Authority for a regularisation Certificate as the works have already been carried out and do not form part of this application

You will need to contact Leeds City Council Building Control re the steel beam obviously we will continue with the extension element of your project

I hope you are well. You may have spoken with Jody, but we are nearing completion of this build. I'm aware that I have your invoice to pay.
As part of this inspection i'm hoping you can also include a wall knock through we did just before this build commenced. I attach the calculations for the steel that went in, you are more than welcome to come and inspect it.

Hi Jody, James,

Both myself and Darren have spoke with Emma Gill at YW today. She gave verbal agreement to the minor changes, pending the return of the attached form and payment! Which Darren has now sent to them.

I asked that she expedites this approval, seen as they had missed Darren's email on 19th Jan, I'm not prepared to wait another 10 days for them to process this, as this delay was not our fault. She agreed to would try and respond ASAP.

However based on her verbal agreement, I would suggest we begin the drain work. It does say they want to inspect upon completion before building work commences, but again I don't want them coming out to inspect (if they ever will) to hold us up, so I would suggest we take plenty of photographic evidence along the way and send them in. We can always start at the front of the house with the brickwork in the meantime too, while we wait for them to come out or approve pictures.

I'm going to call her on Friday to make sure she got the form, letter and cheque.
