The contractor excavating the concrete strip foundations at the above address came across a 225mm diameter sewer at the back end of last week.
James Bourke (approved inspector) visited the site last Friday and asked me to amend the drainage layout accordingly and also as the ground is bedrock, he suggested using a reinforced concrete raft foundation (detail attached).
James is out of the office until Monday so that is the reason for me sending this email instead of james himself.
Could you please confirm that these changes are acceptable to Yorkshire Water in principle to enable the works to continue on site.
