We attach for your information Structural Design & Calculations received from GTCE, in connection with the above.
The existing portal frame was found to fail under the wind-load tables and it will be necessary to install bracing stays as Detail 303.
We attach a quotation in the sum of £950 + VAT received from steel fabricator Peter Dunham, for fabrication, supply and installation of the 28No stays (2 at each of the 14No portal columns. All connections would be drilled, bolted and any debris collected as it is produced and removed from site. Cost assumes no specialist access equipment.
Subject to your agreement, we will instruct Peter Dunham accordingly and request their RAMSs for approval in the first instance.
