Hello Scott,

The attached calculations show that there is sufficient spare capacity in any IG L1/S 100 lintel spanning the 2900mm opening over the bi-fold doors to accommodate the new floor support steelwork.

phone call from builder says he will send calculations for all elements on email today including the steelwork and supports confirms that thne padstones provided to the steelwork are not as the engineers has designed and he will need to change them builder confirmed that two engineers have been on site and have not questioned the catnic supports over bi fold doors imformed him that we still have concerns as expressed at our first inspection

Contractor not on site today but i will call to see if i can gain access anyway as we have serious concerns over the stability of the works jab

phone call from contractor following yesterdays site inspection and note left in door of house

Contractor very rude on phone yet again requested that calcs provided for the steelwork in position as seen

dispite numerous requested to confirm that an engineer has been employed as per our first visit and the use of steelwork NOT TIMBER as he wanted to do so obviously timber not sufficient

buider informed ne not to go to site and he would get the engineer out to justify what he has done so sas suspected nio calculations for the steelwork and supports have been provided despite our requests and him confirming that his MATE had been down and said it was all ok but no evidence of this sent to us

Builder informed that we would decide when we attaended site noit the contractor and we will be attending site today regardless of his wishes as we have serious concerns about the works so far carried out

Buildcer put phone down on me so will attend site this am regardless jab
