Good Afternoon Martin,
Please see attached our calculations and drawing for the loft conversion at the above property. A couple of things to note:
• The trimming to the proposed windows in dormer need strengthening – see drawing for details
• We have detailed a timber beam to support the dormer rafters. This is required on both sides of the masonry wall (which is to be built up). We have avoided using the timber stud wall to support the roof to avoid the load being transferred to the floor.
• All walls, floors and roof to be strapped in accordance to Building Regulations.
