The attached are;

I refer you to the SAP Specification final entry. SAP result – PASS – Elemental U Value Pass required only

Leanne has prepared the SAP specification and reports using her own U value calculations. I am aware their accreditation system requires SAP Assessors to undertake their own calculations and essentially, not believe those supplied to them! It’s a good job as the British Gypsum ones that I obtained via the British Gypsum website calculator were slightly over specifying. The thickness of Thermaline has reduced from 80mm to 70mm. Consequently, my Regs notes have been revised accordingly.

The email trail below is between Leanne and me to finalise the various elements for the SAP. One matter is the ceiling above the living room area. The SAP is resolved to raise the flat roof ceiling area to nom 2750mm. This introduces a small area of sloping (raking) ceiling, which is included in the SAP and Regs notes.

Please find attached dwg 700/100 Building Regulations specification notes, together with three British Gypsum U value calculations and specifications.

I’ve included an lpg boiler for heating the barn conversion. I do recall you saying that you may consider an air source heat pump. But, I had to gamble and the lpg boiler is the worse of the two for SAP compliance. In other words, if you do use the air source heat pump then the SAP will improve.

Ii is perhaps worth saying that you require both SAP and EPC for Building Control but they don’t actually need to show a pass, as this is conversion. The primary driver is compliance with the U values stated in the Regs and used in this specification.
