Lady owner called wanting full refund as no longer working with architect or doing the work. Said they were badly advised by the architect to pay everything up front and shouldn't have done therefore wanted refund. Explained would need to speak to JB. Spoke to JB and offered £600 refund as covers administration and couldn't refund the VAT.
Called the owner back - she was not very happy. Very blunt and said we have done no work, no inspections etc so need full money back. Explained we have submitted all the paperwork to council, waterboard etc and were all in place for first inspection so have done our part of the work. She then said she was not happy and would rather leave the money on the system incase the work starts up again (which at first was apparently no longer happening) with a different company and would use us rather than losing £240.
