As per our discussion yesterday after undertaking a completion inspection at 17 Popplewell Lane Scholes.
Your construction work is satisfactory and in good order and meets the requirments to date under the BuidlingAct 1984 where the Buildings Regulations apply. This is for your scope of works.
However, I understand that you as builder are not undertaking the external landscaping works etc as the property owner is undertaking themselves. This is perfectly acceptable and quite common. For a Completion Certificate to be issued though the rear patio doors must be made safe in terms of access / egress to the new extension as the patio doors is subject to to a drop of 800 mm approx deep to g/l. This is hazard that nees to be managed under the building regulations. Please advise the property owner when this has been finalised with either a decking system or steps then we can then issue a completion inspection upon re-inspection.
