Hi Keith

As requested I can confirm that I have attended site today and the following noted at the time of inspection

We have not been requested to attend site since excavations for foundations

Ideally we should have been requested to attend site at damp proof course level

However I have carried out a thorough inspection of the works in progress and the following was established

The damp proof course and damp proof membrane are on position to the walls and floor structure and are suitably located

Insulation to the floor slab is visible at the edge of floor to door areas and is if the correct thickness

As regards te roof structure the contractor confirms that the roof joists have been installed in accordance with the details provided and has been provided with the required kingspan or similar insulation between and under the roof joists

I was shown photographs the above insulation in place

The contractor is to forward all relevant photographic evidence to me asap

The walls have been provided with 100mm rockwool cavity wall insulation as can be seen around the window and door reveals

This is to be added to were missing around the reveal and the reveal a provided with insulated cavity closers prior to plastering out and fixing of the doors and Windows

The general structural works internally are progressing well with the use of proprietary catnic supports provided were required with adequate bearing into the existing walls

As per or phone conversation it would have been beneficial if we had been offered the opportunity to inspect the works at damp proof course level however the works are to a reasonable standard and I believe demonstrate compliance with building regulations so far

John is to forward the photos taken by himself as the works have progressed on site as additional evience if compliance
