Good morning,
It has just come to my attention that not all windows and doors that have been replaced/added during the renovation were listed in the original building control application form & the installer is not able to self-certify.
What will be required for these to be covered under the compliance certificate that will be produced once the project is completed? I also believe that the Local Authority should have been informed about these replacement/additional windows/doors - could you advise about the process for doing this? In terms of the doors, they are not more than 50% glazing so I'm not sure if certification is required for them - could you please advise?

Further to our chat earlier today, I just wanted to make a note of my understanding of the conversation.
You confirmed that the report sent through below has not yet been reviewed due to extenuating circumstances, but that if Mason Clark Associates are happy with how the floor has been installed & have stated they foresee no resultant issues this should sufficiently address the concerns raised by yourselves. Our understanding of the report is that it meets this criteria. In relation to next steps, you verified that we should continue with the renovation (including full fitting of kitchen in room where flooring installation was queried) wherein we will be issued with completion certificates for both electrical and gas works carried out in the property. These certificates will be reviewed by yourselves and building regulations approval will then be granted.
If you have any amendments or additional information you would like to add to my understanding above, please feel free to email them through. If not, I will assume the above accurately represents our chat & your views in relation to continuation of the renovation project.

spoke to mason clarke strcutural engineers agreed we will ring back tomorrow whwn layrs can send the details over of the works dione on site and provide a full update to the new engineer stated caution to the engineer as he has been appointed to confirm the slab and not aware otf the undermining issue with the neighbouring property jab

I understand that your previous engineer has been unable to justify the works as construcyrped on site
Please can you forward details from another engineer as requested to justify the stability of the walls in question
As stated previously it is not an option to simply remove works from our appeal that do not demonstrate compliance with building regulations
In this instance the works in question are fundamental to the stability of not just this property but the ones either side
This issue will have to be resolved prior to the issuing of any certification for the building works under our control
