spoke to the client about engineers reqyirements comments on underpinning the existing foundations to support the steelwork proposed as we have no details difficult to comment advised him to speak to his engineeers jab

Phone call from client male engineer has agreed with me that further excvation is required to agreed depth of 1350mm client will ring me when excvated next week

rang client back raised with him the issue as detailed below regarding tree within 1500mm of the proposed foundation says not 1500mm but 4000mm away a bit suspicious of this as quite detailed telephone conversation with both client and buil,der perviously re depth of foundation required

client say engineer visiting site tomorrow am to advise him on foundation depth jab

spoke to the client exoplained need to find out what the gfround is like on site re depth anf type of foundatioin required re the tree jab

Spoke to builder on phone says birch tree within 1500mm of the proposed foundation checked on the labc depth calculator gives a depth of approx 1800mm in clay

Informed of above that this is same on both removal or tree remaining

Contractor to excavate trial hole and establish ground conditions as I will reassess jab
