Hi James : Hope you are all okay. Following our brief discussion on Monday I wondered if you had actually visited the above site on Tuesday as suggested to have a look at the exposed existing house foundation. I attended a meeting with the client and Jason Lane ( nominated builder ) last night and we are both of the opinion that although it is shallow it is in fact a strip foundation and not a raft. Please could you put our mind at rest and then I can arrange for structural engineers design / calculations if necessary and Jason can provide an appropriate costing for the work involved.
