Email received back from the client:

Hi Megan, thanks for the email, there seems to have been a communication problem between our builder and your office. The electrician said he could not issue a certificate until our consumer unit was changed for the newer type. As we intend completely renewing the kitchen, which will necessitate some rewiring, it was agreed we would do the rewiring and consumer unit upgrade at the same time. This will happen in the first half of next year, we could not afford the extension and the kitchen in one go. So I don't expect to have the electrical certificate until possibly May 2018. I hope that has cleared the confusion. I can let you know as soon as I get it, if that's ok? Many thanks, Steve.

Hi, you called to do final inspection, 20A Barff Lane, Brayton, Selby, YO89ET. I thought it had already been done ages ago but anyway its not possible this month because of holidays.
